EverlyWell Men’s Health Test

As a male, you require well-balanced testosterone levels to perform at your best, but truly knowing your health requires understanding far more than testosterone.

The EverlyWell Men’s Health Test measures the levels of these important hormones:

  • Testosterone
  • DHEA
  • Estradiol
  • Cortisol

Simply send in a saliva sample taken shortly after you wake, and EverlyWell’s lab will provide an accurate measure of your levels of each hormone.

Testosterone is a hormone that typically exists in far greater amounts in men than women. This hormone plays a key role in muscle mass, body hair, athletic ability, sex drive, energy levels, and much more.

Testosterone peaks for most men during their twenties and decreases with age.

DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is the most common steroidal hormone found in the body. It is produced by the adrenal glands, gonads, and brain. Among other functions, DHEA is a precursor to testosterone and estrogen production. Both males and females make DHEA, with levels rising during childhood to peak around 20 years of age. Thereafter levels decline slowly.

Estradiol is the most prevalent estrogen. Although essential for female secondary characteristic development, it is also synthesized and required in males at low levels.

Cortisol is the “fight or flight” hormone that is released by the adrenal glands in response to stress. Persistent stress leads to chronically increased cortisol levels, which can result in many health issues including poor sleep, weight gain, testosterone decrease, low energy, and more serious disorders.

Our at-home men’s health test measures cortisol along with the other three hormones and can help identify how stress may be affecting your lifestyle.
